Booster Juice Partners With Jays’ Bautista (Summary)

Jose Bautista has agreed and signed to a new sponsor agreement with Booster Juice (Powell, 2011)  He will appear in a national billboard campaign and as well as 15 to 30 seconds commercial (Powell, 2011). Dale Wishewan told the media he wanted to focus on the “MVP Combination” of Bautista and Booster Juice (Powell, 2011). As well, the main target to people is from the ages between 15-44 years old with a 60/40 female skew (Powell, 2011). Also, Dale believes that sports in general is male based and thinks there would be a good appeal with Bautista because he’s at the top of the game (Powell, 2011). Even with females there is a good chance they have heard Jose Bautista’s name before. Overall, Booster Juice operates 265 stores across Canada and is reaching the final two-year agreement with the Toronto Blue Jays (Powell, 2011). Dale Wishewan the President and CEO of Booster Juice, told the media that he is meeting with the Toronto Blue Jays to talk about extending the agreement (Powell, 2011).

My Opinion  
Using professional athletes to market Booster Juice was a very good decision in which helped the company grow. Booster Juice signed Jose Bautista who is a phenomenal baseball player for the Toronto Blue Jays and an MVP (Most Valuable Player). Bautista is a very well-known baseball player and when consumers watch his advertisements with Booster Juice, the consumers will become more attracted to the brand and its products. Another reason why Jose Bautista is a great pick for Booster Juice is that he is a well reputable sports celebrity, and that relates very well with Boosters Juice’s products which attract healthy living. Booster Juice should continue to use sports celebrities to market its brand and products as this will help the company’s growth drastically.
